PDF font issues - is this the answer
I've been trying out a programme called PStill with pretty good results. If you have font issues importing pdf ie substituting fonts then this may well be the answer. Pstill will take in a pdf, convert the embedded fonts to curves and produce a pdf that can be imported into other programmes. It retains colour models, vectors remain vectors and transparencies can be flattened (another issue with pdf import). There are many settings to enable different behaviour. I have exchanged emails with the author and support response is very good.
The website is www.pstill.com and a fully working trial version is available for download so you can try it with real work. Alan D |

If fonts are your only issue, ensure that text to curves is the only option enabled in Pstill and they should come in ok in Draw. My tests have been positive.
I mentioned Pstill to one of my colleagues and he reckons all his Christmas' have come at once. Alan D |
