Yip, people tend to ring for a price and explaining over the phone is barely possible.
So, many times you gotto go round to them anyway : measure their shopfront, have a professional look, where a banner exactly goes.

Sales talk starts, when one calls and asks for a price.
Cause it isn't "just giving a price". You start explaining and suddenly the potential client realises, it's not "just asking for a price", it's way more.

The times, where sale on phone works nicely, is with bigger companies.
They know what they want, have the measures& colours already, and you can mail designs.
And then, yes, I would think then it's mainly about price.

And still then, a signmaker should gain for the opportunity of communication. Service ! my favorite !
