Cricket is ( according to a journalist of The Sunday Times ) even worse than Golf and the very most boring sport on this small planet.
Apparently not even English people do understand it and was played with most fun in a far away Galaxy by the eleven snow white robots, who came down to Earth just to take the trophy after the game of 1963 (if I remember well), where England won against Australia (Ref.: Douglas Adam, "Hitchhiker through the Galaxy")

But people love to sit on the sde of the field with huge picnic boxes, and then yes, you can scratch your balls and chew on dip.
